Project: Badlands Playspace

Badlands Playspace is an innovative indoor play space for children in the Washington DC area. Badlands is the ideal environment for learning through play with seven areas for children to interact, create, and grow in confidence. Badlands is a nature-inspired play space designed with the whole family in mind. Our 30,000 square foot facility offers classes that allow children to develop their minds and bodies, and make sense of the world around them through enrichment based on movement, mindfulness, music, and play. Also available for parties where children run, jump, and climb through obstacle courses, use real tools in the Makerspace, and enjoy amazing and fresh food straight from their kitchen. At Badlands, kids will discover new skills, have fun, and stretch their imaginations.

North America Lighting was proud to work with Badlands Playspace and designer Streetsense to incorporate Ferretti Lighting’s Cupola Bicolor LED pendant light fixture into this fun and playful space in the Event Pavilions and Cafe. The Cupola Bicolor pendant offers a clean take on a classic shape, along with eight standard colors and finishes on either the interior or exterior of the fixture to allow supreme flexibility for project design. Ferretti Lighting combines this design aesthetic with a high efficiency and long-lasting LED light source to provide years of great looking and maintenance-free performance.
